Construction on the one of a kind in the world Cribstone bridge continues. The traffic to and from Bailey Island seems to flow smoothly with no interruptions. The renovations should be completed by 2010. The bridge was constructed in 1928 in a fashion that allows the Atlantic to flow through. A national land mark that is a picture takers dream. For the best shots take your first right after crossing on to Bailey's Island. Go to the end of the Garrison cove road to Cook's Lobster House and on their point set up you camera. Sun set is a great time to be there because the reflection of the sun makes the bridge seem to glow. I think it must be the flex's in the granite.
